About

From Wednesday 22 to Sunday 26 October, the much-loved Glens Storytelling Festival returns to celebrate the rich tradition of oral storytelling across the breathtaking landscapes of the Glens of Antrim, Rathlin Island and beyond. This is your invitation to join in on five magical days filled with stories that entertain, inspire, and connect.

Expect unforgettable performances from some of the most talented storytellers on the scene, including Kate Corkery, Paddy O'Brien, and Dougie Mackay, alongside fresh and powerful voices from the local community. Together, they'll weave tales that will transport you to other worlds and bring the beauty, humour and heart of our region to life.

The festival offers something for everyone: begin with a pre-festival hybrid story swap or get creative at the Stitch and Story event in Carnlough. Experience the magic of Night Whispers in the Glens at Laragh Lodge on Thursday and soak up the atmosphere during The Lore of the Land Stories in the charming Old Church Centre, Cushendun on Saturday. Step into nature with story walks on Rathlin Island, through Glenariff Forest, and in Waterfoot. There's also a story-filled afternoon in Ballycastle, an afternoon concert on Rathlin Island, a lively story swap in Cushendall, and a special Friday night storytelling concert at Cushendall Golf Club. The festival concludes in style with a warm, memorable finale event at the Harbourview Hotel on Sunday 26 October.

This is storytelling at its finest – celebrating tradition while welcoming new voices and bringing world-class events to rural communities. Tickets can be booked now via the official website, with limited availability at the door for each event. Don't miss your chance to be part of this magical celebration of stories, place, and people.
