About

Midtown Makers Studio and Shop, is one of Northern Ireland's foremost handmade craft and gift shops, located on Church Street in Ballymena, offering regular crafting experiences and workshops with skilled local crafters.

We offer you the chance to come and take part in a wide range of different workshops that allow customers to meet the crafter's behind the products and get the chance to create their very own products.

Craft workshops run every month throughout the year and are available to book through Midtown Makers. Workshops available include:

Basic & advanced jewellery making, Polymer clay, Felting, Wire work, Story books, Beginners & advanced embroidery and crochet, Sewing, Acrylic painting, Ceramics, Card making, Purse making, Silk scarf making, Soap making, Decoupage, Weaving, Mosaics, Power painting, Applique , Beginners photography etc.

Most workshops, last between an average of 1 - 2 hours, except for some of the felting workshops
Some workshops are suitable from age 8 upwards, but generally 12+ with adult supervision.
Every workshop has between 4 - 10 people but each workshop differs.

Each workshop participant, will get materials included as well as instructions and help to successfully create their pieces. Each person taking part goes home with a piece of work created by themselves (unless piece has to be fired as in clay and ceramics, or if piece of work is part of a multi workshop.)

Midtown Makers participate annually in August Craft Month so keep an eye out for special workshops happening then.
