About

Carleton Street Orange Hall has been at the heart of Portadown Town since 1875 and has contributed greatly to the town’s development through the years. Our trained community tour guides will offer you the unique opportunity, through a guided tour, to explore a community based, working and functioning Orange Hall that is bursting with history and heritage. Each room within the hall has a very interesting story to tell with living history to witness. Within the walls of this three-story eye-catching historical building, you will also have the opportunity to explore Carleton Street Heritage Centre which has quite a number of historical artifacts on display relating to Portadown District LOL No 1 and Portadown Town.
The Hall Tour is a unique experience within Northern Ireland. It gives visitors the opportunity to come and discover living history. The Hall is very much a working Orange Hall and a Community Hub for the local area. Carleton Street Orange Hall is much more than just a museum or Heritage Centre.
