About

Belfast Crystal is an exclusive lead crystal hand cut in a time-honoured process with exact dedication to detail and quality. Founded in 1978, making it one of the oldest glass factories in Ireland that is still in the ownership of its founder family.

Antonio Abbate, a native of Napoli in Italy, came to Waterford Crystal in 1960 to train young glassblowers to the highest standard. With over 30 years experience perfecting his skill, Belfast Crystal produces one of the most exclusive collections of hand cut lead crystal. Now under the leadership of Tony Abbate Junior, Belfast Crystal can become a treasured item across the world.

Most pieces where stated are available in two designs. The "Old Belfast" is a celebration of the traditional diagonal and vertical cuts. A vigorous spectrum of depth and colour caught in angular prisms. The "Harp" however is Celtic in origin. Carved with care, the collection of shallow and deep, straight and curved cuts combine to highlight the harp motif.

Buying on the web provides an ideal opportunity to purchase the latest new additions to the Belfast Crystal range even before it is displayed in their factory showroom. Now the whole Belfast Crystal collection will be on view with tremendous savings.
