Blog (Seasonal Inspiration) - Discover Northern Ireland

Wonderful walks & cosy pubs

Now to some of you this might sound a little odd, and maybe it’s just us, but around these parts, particularly in autumn and winter, we like nothing more than getting out to smell the sea and feel the breeze on our faces before heading inside to a cosy pub to sit beside a fire and sip on our favourite tipple. Just go straight to the pub, says you. No way, that would be too easy. Anyway, for those who want to give it a try, here’s a few suggestions.

10 things to do on a rainy day

Will rain stop play? Absolutely not. And nor will it dampen our spirits. Northern Ireland is no stranger to rain admittedly. So, we’ve had quite a lot of practice at coming up with what to do on a rainy day in Northern Ireland. In fact, in our humble opinion, some experiences may even be enhanced by the rain. Or liquid sunshine, as we prefer to think of it.

7 seaside towns to visit in summer

Nothing says summer like a seaside town and Northern Ireland has some of the prettiest, most panoramic and most welcoming of all. Whether you’re looking for a coastal adventure, an encounter with sea-faring wildlife or villages to potter about in, there’s a place here for you. And if all that doesn’t have you reaching for the buckets and spades, our locally produced food and drink certainly will.

11 things to do on a sunny day

Northern Ireland is blessed with, well, let’s call it a temperate climate. So, when the sun comes out, so do we. In fact, we’re exceptionally good at making the most of our sunshine. And, happily, wherever you go you’ll find experiences and places to help you make the most of it too. Perhaps these ideas will get you started.
