When is The Open held and where?

The 153rd Open will take place at Royal Portrush, County Antrim from Sunday 13 July to Sunday 20 July 2025. Practice Days are Sunday 13 to Wednesday 16 July and Championship Days are Thursday 17 to Sunday 20 July 2025.

How can I buy a ticket? 

General admission tickets are now sold out. There are no tickets available to buy on the gate during the week of the Championship. However, tickets may become available via the official resale platform at: www.theopen.com/tickets-and-hospitality/tickets/resale-platform-info.

Hospitality packages are still available but are close to selling out. A waiting list is in operation and an enquiry form is available on: TheOpen.com.

Only tickets purchased from an authorised provider will be valid and grant access to the venue.

Can I leave The Open and come back in on the same day?

Yes, re-admission will be permitted. Ticket holders will only be permitted to re-enter the venue on the same day as long as they present the following

i) a ticket valid for that day’s play, and ii) an official, untampered, re-entry wristband that must be collected from the exit gate when initially leaving The Open.

It may have taken 68 years for The Open to return to Northern Ireland but it was more than worth the wait as home favourite Shane Lowry emerged triumphant at Royal Portrush. The Open will now head back to the County Antrim coast in 2025 for The 153rd Open.
