The Shed at the Quoile

About

The Shed is close to some great outdoor activities, restaurants and dining, family-friendly activities and art and culture. The Shed is good for couples, solo adventurers and business travellers. If you don't mind a squeeze there is also a sofa bed couch. If you love nature, beautiful walks and fishing then this would be an ideal location for you. Game of Thrones fans would also think it's a good spot!

Right across the road from the shed is the beautiful Quoile River which is a great spot for walking or fishing. The town of Downpatrick is a short drive from the shed where you will find everything you need in the shopping department and plenty of eating establishments. There’s the beautiful Down Cathedral, the Down County Museum and the St Patrick Centre to name a few attractions within easy reach. A fifteen minute drive away in the other direction is Strangford where you will find lots of nice eating spots and the biggest Lough in Europe. Newcastle and Castlewellan are also close by with attractions such as Tollymore Forest Park and Murlough Beach amongst many others!

Public Transport Directions

Definitely easiest if you have a car to get around, however there are buses available and bus stops are only an approximately ten minute walk away from the shed. The main bus station is in the centre of town which is approximately a 35 minute walk away. Taxis are available but tend to be heavily booked at peak times. Parking is right outside the shed and there are lots of easy parking options (mostly free) in the town.
