The Old Mill

Killinchy, Down, BT23 6RR
Open plan kitchen, living and dining area

About

Nestled in the beautiful County Down countryside is The Old Mill. It has been lovingly restored over the past couple of years and it is now ready for guests to come and relax and unwind amid the beautiful scenery of Northern Ireland.

We believe the history of the building to be a Windmill with attached Mill. The tunnel underneath looks to have provided water to the mill as well.

We have absolutely fallen in love with this historic building and hope you do too. Whether you are looking for a relaxing break away from busy city life or a more adventurous active break, The Old Mill will enable you to create the special memories every visit. We are also a fantastic base to explore Northern Ireland, with Belfast only a 30 minute drive away and the stunning Mourne Mountains 45 minutes drive. We are lucky enough to have a spectacular view of the Mourne mountains from the garden on a clear day.

Everything you need for a home-from-home

The Old Mill sleeps up to four people in two bedrooms.

Our wifi runs between 7Mb to 35Mb – so it’s fine for Zoom calls or streaming movies to our Smart TV*.

Our open plan living area looks out to the beautiful countryside.

The living room has comfy seating for everyone and a cozy electric stove to snuggle in front of on cold winter nights.

Our well-equipped kitchen is designed for creating delicious dinners.

There are 2 newly renovated bathrooms both with showers and the main bathroom has a free standing bath.

We have 2 bedrooms, one with a superking bed and one with 2 single beds.

Breaks are from three nights up to 28 days, at any time of year.

Due to health and safety we are only able to accept guests 12 and over.

*We are very rural, so wifi is not guaranteed but so far it’s always been fine.
