Rose Cottage

About

Rose Cottage is a quaint detached rural cottage built originally as a church manse in 1840. The cottage has recently (2021) been sympathetically refurbished to a modern standard whilst retaining its original character.

The accommodation consists of 3 first floor bedrooms and a bathroom, whilst on the ground floor is a kitchen, lounge, dining room and accessible bedroom with en-suite. There is ample parking space for multiple vehicles in the adjacent yard.

Rose Cottage is nestled in the lush green countryside, with stunning panoramic views of Slemish flanked by it’s neighbouring Antrim hills. The cottage is located on a working sheep farm with adjacent paddock surrounded by mature trees and long, stone barn within the main yard. The site is accessed via a beautiful sweeping avenue to the front or more commonly used rear tarmac laneway.

The farm is found less than 3 miles from the villages of Ahoghill, Portglenone and Cullybackey and local attractions such as Portglenone Forest, Slemish mountain, Rivers Bann and Maine, Arthur Cottage and Galgorm Spa and Golf Resort are only a matter of minutes away by car. If shopping is your thing then the retail hub of Ballymena is only 4 miles away or The Junction Outlet near Antrim is about 20 minutes away by car.

Accessing Rose Cottage by road from Belfast International Airport or Belfast/Larne Ports can be done in less than 1 hour and the North Coast is only 45 minutes away.

Rose Cottage is perfect for a relaxing break, family getaway or romantic stay.
