About

Beautifully transformed Victorian cottage in the heart of the coastal town of Whitehead. This hidden gem has a stunning 19th Century exterior, leading into a contemporary 21st Century interior. With brand new fully fitted kitchen, unique and stylish bedrooms, countryside views and a private courtyard, this cottage encompasses the wholesome atmosphere of the town it inhabits.

The space

The Cottage has been fully modernised to 21st century building standards with a premium finish. Throughout the house you will find USB charging points and fast WIFI provision. The house has been fully insulated (including the exterior walls) to provide a comfortable ambience whilst minimising fuel consumption for the heating system thus reducing this period house' carbon footprint

Lounge
The lounge is modern yet cosy with 2 double sofas plus an extra storage ottoman and floating gas fire.There is a 40" Smart TV providing all freely available channels and also access to premium channels (Guest personal login) via an Amazon firestick.
Multi purpose Dining Room
A separate room adjoining the kitchen provides a table and chairs for family dining, but also provides a separate space for working or for playing games. It also allows easy supervision from the kitchen if required or simply the ability for guests to interact throughout the space. A range of books and games are provided.
Kitchen
A brand new fitted kitchen was installed during the comprehensive refurbishment. Keith and Jane (your hosts) are keen cooks and wanted to ensure that the kitchen has everything our guests need. The list is long but includes Gas Hob, built in oven, Micro/Grill, Fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine, breakfast bar etc,etc. There is a large range of crockery and utensils available for all your needs
Bathroom
Luxury contemporary bathroom with double walk in shower and wall hung vanity unit with electric mirror and shaver point.
Bedroom 1
Very large stylishly decorated bedroom with Kingsize pewter bed and feature fireplace. (Wardrobe, drawers, mirror, hairdryer)
Bedroom 2
Providing style and comfort in a smaller space (Beautiful outlook, double bed, hanging and shelving space, under bed storage)
Outside
Private off-street parking for 2 cars.
There is a small garden to the front of the property and a large enclosed private garden to the rear. This includes a feature deck area with bar, outdoor seating, BBQ and Chimnea. There is also a private enclosed tiled courtyard also at the rear of the house.

Guest access

Guests have access to the whole property with the exception of a locked cupboard under the stairs and the roofspace (inaccessible)

Other things to note

As well as private off-street parking there is pedestrian access to the house via a short lane from surrounding streets. This also provides a convenient and pleasant walking route into Whitehead (10mins max) without the need to take the car.
