About

St James Dunaghy is situated in the centre of Clough Village. The church is designed by Charles Lanyon in around 1841. The church is famous for one of its Rectors Rev John Samuel Monsell. The Rev John Samuel Bewley Monsell was described in a history of the Church of Ireland as a "notable Rector". One of Rev J. Monsell well known hymns was 'Fight the good fight'. The church also has one of the most beautiful stain glass windows depicting 'The Ascension' by George Measures Parlby, 1856-1954.
