Would you like to create a new book cover for Jill Tomlinson's story, 'The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark' and experience what it's like to be an illustrator? Let Paul Howard show you how to draw Plop, the owl from the classic book, through several easy to follow steps and help you to bring your own little owl to life!

Paul Howard has been illustrating children's books for over thirty years, and has been based in Belfast since 2000. Best known for his illustration work for Jill Tomlinson's classic 'The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark', and the 'Burpee Bears' series by Joe Wicks, Paul was the Children's Writing Fellow for Northern Ireland for 2022/23.
