About

BowCrafty offers fun and educational classes in the art of bow making, suitable for age 16 and over. Through traditional techniques you can learn the skills required to craft your very own bow. Courses involve training on general woodworking skills, while specialising on the specific techniques and skills used in bow making. Gift vouchers available.

For the weekend bow making course each student will finish up the course with their very own bow tailored to suit them. The first day involves an introduction to bow making then move straight on to working on the bows with one to one demonstrations / instructionals of each different process as you get to them. The second day of the weekend mostly involves carving out the bow handles, making the strings and applying the finish. Then to finish up you spend some time shooting the bows. After booking you will receive an email with all the required information on clothing and lunches.

Private two day bow making courses are also available for groups of 3-4, subject to advance booking.
