  13. Crumlin Road Gaol

    Learning the history of the site from when women and children were held within its walls through to the political segregation of republican and loyalist prisoners and learn about why the decision was taken to close the prison.     Join me, and Damian our local Farmer from Castlescreen Farm for our unique Safari - Northern Irish style! You'll start the day with a Soda bread making demo and you'll enjoy freshly made Soda bread as it comes off the Griddle. It will be served with a big mug of tea or coffee and homemade jam - a great start to the day! You will travel in style around Damian's Farm where you'll meet his Dexter Cows - a typical Irish breed and smaller than most.   Afterwards you'll have worked up an appetite, and Jackie will have prepared a delicious BBQ of Dexter beef which will be accompanied by craft beers from the local Brewery.
