We've rounded up important information and answers to the most commonly asked questions regarding Covid-19 below, and included links to relevant local government and Department of Health webpages for your reference.
Although COVID-19 regulations are no longer in place, we encourage everyone travelling to Northern Ireland to check ahead with providers before visiting and to book in advance where possible.
Social Distancing
It is recommended where possible that you should try and keep a safe distance between you and anyone outside of your household to help reduce the spread of COVID-19. For more information on how to reduce the spread of Covid-19 visit the NI Direct website, which is a local government website.
Face coverings
Although the use of face coverings is no longer a legal requirement, it is still recommended in indoor settings, where you come into contact with people you do not usually meet. This includes public transport, where social distancing is not possible, and shows consideration for others in preventing the transmission of the virus. For more information and guidance on face coverings, please visit NI Direct.
COVID-19 Certification Scheme
COVID certificates are not required, but may be available from the Department of Health for international use. More information can be found on the NI Direct website.
Travel Advice
For travel advice and guidance in relation to international travel, travel exemptions, travelling to Northern Ireland from a red or non-red list country and travelling within the Common Travel Area please visit the dedicated section of the NI Direct website.
Amending or cancelling bookings due to COVID-19
In the first instance we recommend that you contact the company you booked with as soon as you can. Whether you are offered a refund or an amendment will be dependent on the booking terms and conditions. For advice contact Consumerline.
Which local businesses are open in Northern Ireland?
Most businesses in Northern Ireland are open, but before you travel it is recommended that you check ahead of starting your journey to ensure they are open for business. We suggest pre-booking tickets where possible and using contactless payment options to minimise contact with touch points.
Visitor information centres are a great source of information on a local level. To contact the Visitor Information Network teams, locate your nearby centre where a member of staff will be happy to help with your query.
