Seamus Heaney HomePlace - A line-up of acclaimed writers and musicians has been announced as part of a new virtual programme of performances. The ‘Keeping Going’ series of readings and performances will be aired via the HomePlace YouTube channel, beginning Wednesday 29th April with renowned author Glenn Patterson. Among the cream of other home-grown talent to feature are singer-songwriter Anthony Toner, award-winning poets Maureen Boyle and Stephen Sexton and the short story writer and playwright, Rosemary Jenkinson. The Burnavon Theatre - Continuing to promote the arts in Mid Ulster, The Burnavon Theatre have created a weekly timetable of events and tutorials covering arts and crafts, entertainment and music.

BFF20 Online Treats - Belfast Film Festival has turned its website into an online cinema, bringing us a series of online treats and exclusive new screenings. Find out more here

Aly Harte - Aly Harte is an artist, educator and writer and she is sharing live art tips and demonstrations on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube as well as providing free ebooks and prints on her website and wellbeing tips for self isolating on her blog.

Cyprus Avenue - To celebrate World Theatre Day, The MAC are showing a filmed version of David Ireland's award winning play Cyprus Avenue on their Facebook page for a whole month. Content warning: Recommended for ages 18+

Void Gallery - Over the coming weeks, Void are providing virtual tours of their exhibition, ideas to keep the kids occupied, adult workshops, and suggestions for reading material and films inspired by Void’s programme. Keep up to date on their website and Facebook.

Belfast Exposed Digital - Belfast Exposed Photography Gallery has launched a range of digital materials to bring their stunning exhibitions and much more to your home! Content includes writings, images, video pieces and audio recordings to encourage creativity and critical thinking, and to expand your ability and understanding of photography. They’re also releasing daily free activities for children and young people, with fun ideas like creating a photo comic-style strip about their time staying at home.

ArtisAnn Gallery - The Belfast art gallery are exhibiting all of their artists' works online and have launched a new online exhibtion from one of Belfast's most artistic couples - Sophie Aghajanian and James Allen. Please visit their website to find out more.

Imagine! Belfast Virtual Festival 2020 - The Imagine Belfast Festival of ideas and politics was originally scheduled to take place in March, but you can still watch many of the festival's events in digital format right here. These include talks on whiskey, discussions on politics and short movie screenings including one on street art in Belfast.

Cinemagic TV - Check out Cinemagic's YouTube channel where you can find a selection of their outreach short films, interviews, original films, workshops and highlights from past festivals. The perfect way to spend a lazy afternoon.

Arts Care 4 U - Arts Care's new online portal allows individuals to access a range of dance, creative writing and visual arts activities, facilitated by the organisation's artists from home. Expect anything from bubblewrap art to clowning!

Monday Medicine - Queen's Film Theatre are curating recommendations every week, delivered as your dose of Monday medicine. Check their website for themed suggestions on what to watch, listen to and read.

Creative Isolation Survival Pack - Post Pieces have created a Creative Isolation Survival Pack. It's a colection of information, prompts and artwork to keep people busy during lockdown. Try it yourself.


BBC Northern Ireland Afternoon Club The Afternoon Club from BBC Northern Ireland is a new online series designed for young people in primary school. It offers skills based content that can support at-home learning with a new lesson each day at 14:00. You can also catch up on any lessons you may have missed. Subjects include science, drama, yoga, gardening and many more. More information can be found here

Navan Centre & Fort -  Every Tuesday on Facebook, Navan Centre & Fort share an educational video and an associated quiz on the following Thursday, concentrating on elements of the school curriculum. Topics covered include the Victorians, Vikings, World War II, Egyptians and the Celts. Every week there is a prizedraw for a family pass to the Centre upon reopening for those who complete the quiz correctly.

Belfast Zoo Comes to You - Ever wonder what the animals at Belfast Zoo get up to when you're not around? Well, they still need to be cared for while the rest of us stay safe at home, so staff have been keeping social distancing measures in place and capturing behind the scenes footage of the animals and sharing it on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Science at Home - At 10:00 daily, Armagh Observatory and Planetarium hold a 'Science at Home' series with kids experiment videos and quizzes as well as toddler story time on Sundays at 19:00. There are also have astronomy lessons and presentations on Tuesdays and Fridays at 20:00. These are available on Armagh Observatory and Planetarium's Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube channels.

Online Painting Demonstrations - Let local artist Adrian Margey help with the home schooling with his weekly online painting demonstrations for kids. Every Friday at 10:00 on Facebook.

Children's Storytime - Libraries NI are running a children's storytime session every weekday at 11:30 on their YouTube channel.

Paint at Home Parties - Every Friday at 18:00 Colours Paint Your Own Pottery Studio will be posting free paint at home party videos on Facebook. These videos are to help keep the little ones entertained but adults can join in too.

Squiggles and Giggles - Boom Studios are Bangor's creative hub, and are offering a fun, interactive music and movement session for your little ones. Sessions last 45 minutes, and can be booked here.

Unique Artshop - Unique have launched a Youtube channel to share original and creative activities for the kids to enjoy. From papercraft to book binding, there's something for everyone.

Coppi: Cooking at Home - Tony O’Neill of Coppi and Buba restaurants is posting cooking from home videos on his Instagram profile, giving you the chance to recreate some of their famous dishes at home.

Titanic Belfast Afternoon Tea at Home - Treat yourself to a decadent afternoon tea in the comfort of your own home. Follow the recipe from Titanic Belfast and bake the delicious buttermilk scones and berry jam that feature in the renowned Sunday Afternoon Tea.
