About

The Belfast Story presents ‘The Musician, The Dancer, The Singer, The Poet’.

Join in at one of the city’s ultimate cultural experiences and enjoy an evening of memories to cherish forever. This professional team of Irish dancers, musicians, singers and storytellers will take you on an entertaining and educational journey that explores a myriad of topics along the way.

Immigration, industry, rebellion and famous people are just some of the subjects you’ll encounter during an evening that takes in history from the 1600s to recent times, including the Troubles.

The Belfast Story has five years’ experience in providing world-class entertainment. They’re all about audience interaction and engagement and they believe in their guests immersing themselves in the story. So be ready to clap your hands, stamp your feet and, who knows, maybe join-in for a dance or two!

The Belfast Story prides itself in using the best talent the city has to offer. From musicians to Irish dancers, these are the real deal. In fact they’ve have had four world champion dancers in their team over the past four years. Their current music manager, Cormac Crummey, performed on BBC Proms in 2019. They’re also very proud that their performances keep the heritage, the songs and the stories of Belfast vital and alive.

Their home venue is Maddens Bar on Berry Street in the city centre. It’s known as one of the best pubs for Guinness and traditional music. (It also has a great selection of Irish Whiskey if you’re interested.) The performance takes place in a private room here. It’s an intimate venue with that classic Irish pub feel. Just the right place, then, for the story to begin.
