About

Glenarm Walkers offer guided walks on the 3rd Sunday of each month (registration at 2.00pm Glenarm Visitor Centre or 2.30pm at walk location), with exception of Easter Monday when the walk begins at 11.00am Glenarm Forest. The June walk is a Sunday evening stroll (6.00pm Glenarm Visitor Centre or 6.30pm at walk location).

Our walks are open to walkers of all fitness levels and are graded A or B according to the terrain and route of the walk. Walks usually last 2.5-3hrs and we enjoy refreshments picnic style after the walk.

Our 2018 programme includes walk/talks on village architecture, industrial heritage sites, archaeological monuments and special sites, flora, woodland, forest and a hill walk at Wolf Bog

The highlight of our walking year is our festival. This year planned for 29th & 30th September 2018.

We also offer short themed walks on a daily basis, with prior arrangement, in and around Glenarm; village architecture, coastal flora & fauna or seabirds, the red squirrel sculpture trail and a church trail including ruins of the old friary.

Half day hill walking activities can be arranged to include the archaeology at Knockdhu on private land and the Game of Thrones filming locations at Cairncastle.

Coverage:
Our walking base is Glenarm Village and in 2018 walks are located along the Antrim Coast, from Cairncastle and Glenarm, Ronan's Way & Wolf Bog
