The Walled Garden, 47 Craigdarragh Road, Helen's Bay, County Down, BT19 1UB
A bird enjoying treats from a willow feeder

About

Join us in the unique heritage setting of Old Mill House to immerse yourself in a half day willow weaving workshop, to create your very own willow birdfeeder.

Whether you're a complete beginner or have some weaving experience, our skilled artist and crafter, Heather McDermott, will guide you throughout the workshop, giving you step by step instruction on the various weaving techniques required

You will also be given the opportunity to visit our very own Saille garden, to learn the techniques of selecting, grading, and weaving willow, while gaining insight into the natural wonders of this versatile regenerative material.

This is a relaxed workshop where you will work at your own pace. with all materials, tools, and instruction provided, It is designed to be a leisurely three hours, ensuring you have ample time to complete at least one birdfeeder

You will also be given the opportunity to refuel with a delicious morning coffee break and tasty homemade treats.

Hang your beautiful birdfeeder from a branch, and fill with fat balls to watch your garden birds feast. This willow bird feeder fits very 'naturally' into a garden setting and is more sustainable than the plastic variety!!

Spaces are limited, so don't miss your chance ..in fact bring a friend or family member...to share this memorable experience
