A hand holding a needle threading felt to create a bee pattern

About

Join us for a relaxed, fun- filled, felting workshop at The Walled Garden, Helen's Bay

On arrival you will be welcomed with a cup of honey, lemon tea made from our own Walled Garden raw honey, followed by a visit to the apiary, to learn about Irish Black bee conservation and their importance in garden pollination.

After a quick stroll through our pollinators paradise, you will discover what bee-friendly pollinator plants you can introduce into your own gardens to attract bees and other pollinators to make your garden a beacon of biodiversity

Local artist and crafter, Karen Stevenson, will then guide you through creating your own bespoke piece of 2D bee-themed artwork using wet, dry, and needle felting techniques. Your artwork will then be mounted on a recycled wooden block for display,.

You will also enjoy a delicious, homemade, afternoon tea to help revive your creative juices

Suitable for all skill levels 18+.
