About

Dive into the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation at the Strangford Lough Activity Centre's exclusive SUP Paddleboard event, in collaboration with Sudor Sauna. Nestled in the picturesque beauty of County Down, Strangford Lough sets the stage for a day of aquatic exploration and blissful rejuvenation.

Embark on a thrilling 1.5hr stand-up paddleboard journey across the pristine waters of Strangford Lough, where the serene surroundings and gentle waves create an ideal backdrop for both beginners and seasoned paddlers. With expert guidance from our skilled instructors, you'll effortlessly glide through the lough and enjoy breathtaking views of the Irish countryside.

But the adventure doesn't end there. After an invigorating paddle, indulge in the ultimate post-exercise relaxation at Sudor Sauna's wood-fired haven. Nestled by the lough's edge, this traditional sauna promises a rejuvenating escape for mind and body. Feel the warmth embrace you as you unwind in the rustic ambiance, surrounded by the soothing sounds of nature. Throughout the guided session, you will use löyly steam to stimulate your body & mind, the vihta birch twigs to increase circulation. As the heat seeps into your muscles, prepare for an exhilarating contrast with the sea plunge experience. Immerse yourself in the crisp, refreshing waters of Strangford Lough, revitalizing your senses and leaving you with an unparalleled sense of invigoration. Also on offer will be the plunge buckets for those looking for a rapid cool down.

It's a holistic journey, from the tranquility of paddleboarding to the revitalizing heat of the sauna and the refreshing dip in the lough or plunge pool.
