About

Causeway Coast Foodie Tours' 'Spirit of the Bann' river whiskey tasting experience is an ideal and unique opportunity to slowly savour distinctive colours and flavours, enjoy a warm glow and celebrate the beautiful blend of natural & man-made wonders our stunning Causeway Coast has to offer!

Where better to celebrate our unique food and drink heritage than via a journey on the River Bann, alongside the beautiful site of Mountsandel, Coleraine? You will retrace the voyages of our ancestors who settled here some 9,000 years ago, and travel by river with newly established local operators, White River Charters, on their vintage vessel, 'MV Kingfisher'.

Their onboard Bushmills whiskey guide will introduce you to a selection of whiskies produced by Old Bushmills Distillery – the oldest, licensed, whiskey distillery in the world, along with a special whiskey directly associated with the local area, all rich and full of flavour, with a unique depth of character. The guide will explain tasting notes of each while highlighting colour, age, blends, casks, nose, aromas and flavour notes and their selection will provide a variety of flavours including toffee, maple syrup, caramel, fruits & spices.

These world class whiskies will be accompanied by a hand-picked selection of award-winning local produce including charcuterie, cheeses, dipping oils & home-made chutneys from around the Causeway Coast.

Wrap up warm, share food & stories and experience the warm glow from the welcome and the whiskies! This is the perfect opportunity to spend quality time with those who share your outdoor spirit.
