About
Historic family owned, traditional Irish bar and restaurant located in the picturesque village of Carnlough on the Causeway Coastal route.
The Loft restaurant is located upstairs serving a variety of freshly prepared dishes, with daily specials available. Fresh food served Friday- Sunday, with additional opening hours in the summer months. Live music at the weekends.
Often described by tourists as ' a hidden gem on the Antrim Coast.' With great food, drink and hospitality, why not pop into the Glencloy Inn?
The Glencloy Inn has three bars, an off-license and a fully operational restaurant so can also easily cater functions and parties at competitive rates.
Originally established in 1857, as Pat Hamill’s Hotel and licensed premises, this special venue catered specially for cyclists in its dining halls (and catered for horses as well with its old ornamental drinking trough.) Sadly no longer a trough but the cyclists still head there!
Pat Hamill’s Hotel is mentioned in the famous ballad, "Sweet Carnlough Bay" and was renowned as a stopping off and cycle hire point for cyclists in the area.
Since being established, the premises has passed through the hands of two generations of the Black family and since 1983 it has been proudly ran by the Diamond Family. The pub has undergone some recent refurbishments but the restaurant still contains the traditional stonework from the Pat Hamill's Hotel.
