About

Hear ye! Hear ye!  Take a splendorous step back in time as we walk in a circle around the magnificent town of Magherafelt, a place steeped in history and tales of days gone by.

Led by the Town Cryer in traditional medieval dress, you will experience life in the Bridewell Gaol and learn about some significant and interesting characters who once resided in Magherafelt.

Tours times: 10.00, 11.00, 12.00, 14.00, and 15.00. Spaces on each tour are limited to ten people, so please book in advance to avoid disappointment via the link here.

You can extend your tour with the option of booking onto the living history experience at the Bridewell Gaol and Graveyard. Led by warden, Mrs McKinley, you will visit the cells and learn about life as a prisoner in the old Gaol.
