Rowallane Garden EHOD 2024

Crossgar Road, Saintfield, County Down, BT24 7LH
A stoney path, through an area of green trees in Rowallane Garden

About

Let your imagination lose among the unusual plants, seasonal colour palettes and striking features in one of the most beautiful gardens in Northern Ireland.

Carved into the County Down landscape, Rowallane Garden has grown from its 19th-century beginnings at the hands of Reverend John Moore and his nephew Hugh Armytage Moore. Their vision to create a place where visitors can leave the world behind and immerse themselves in nature lives on and influences the ongoing conservation work in the garden.

A mix of formal and informal spaces, filled with unique plants from every corner of the globe, offer breathtaking vistas across the County Down countryside. The trees, plants and shrubs range in age, size and colour, creating a spectacle throughout the year.

Rowallane Garden is ideal for leisurely walks, quick refreshments in the café or simply relaxing in nature.
