About
Enjoy a self guided tour at your leisure or book a guided tour at 10.30, 12.30 or 14.30 at this small house that played a large part in history. It was here that the Orange Institution was formed around the aftermath of the Battle of the Diamond on 21 September 1795.
The Museum at Sloan’s House displays an important collection of documents relating to the beginning of the Orange Order and it tells the story of the Plantation and the surrounding area of Loughgall. This site also includes Sloan’s Parlour, portraying the way it would have looked when the Orange Order was first formed there. The Parlour tells the story through graphics, audio visual technologies and the display of key artefacts. This site also includes a permanent exhibition space, café and research facilities.
