Join us at the Ulster Folk Museum to celebrate our Harvest Festival on Saturday 24th September!
Step back in time and try your hand at apple picking fresh from our orchards on site. See traditional ploughing techniques in our potato field and pick yourself out some spuds to take home.
Look out for the donkeys from the Donkey Breed Society and see traditional horses and drays. Get involved in our Harvest themed craft station and enjoy activities including apple smashing and seed collecting with our partners The Conservation Volunteers.
We'll have demonstrations in butter making, preserves and cordial making and samples of our now legendary soda and potato breads. Join us for some traditional games, visit the town school to learn more about Harvest traditions and listen to the dulcet tones of folk music. Harvest is a festival not to be missed!
Our recently refurbished Ballycultra Tearooms will be open. Please do feel free to also bring along picnics and snacks which can be eaten in our picnic areas.
An accessible bus will be available on the day to support with overflow parking
Opening hours: 10:00-17:00
Please book your ticket through the general admissions link. Harvest is always a popular event so booking online is highly recommended.
