Easter at Ulster Folk Museum

About

Discover a traditional 1900s Easter at Ulster Folk Museum. You'll learn what typical celebrations would have looked like in rural Ulster, and which of these traditions are still alive today!

Learn about the origins of the Easter Egg, take part in traditional games and have a go at our themed craft demonstrations. There'll be Easter cards being made in our Print Shop, and our talented makers will also be demonstrating their skills throughout the museum over the week, keeping heritage skills alive.

Plus, on the 9th, 10th and 11th we'll have traditional Easter foods for you to try, and music around the site!

On Easter Monday, we'll have Anann’s Arch with us for a workshop making Spring faeries from natural materials. The whole family can get involved in foraging for materials on the grounds of the museum to make your faeries, then choose somewhere in the museum as their new home or bring them home.
