About

Local artist blacksmith Aaron Leach runs Swifts Forge in Islandmagee and has over 16 years professional experience creating contemporary and traditional forged ironwork in this authentic blacksmith shop, which is complete with old implements and machinery. Aaron Now specialised in Hand forged golfclubs and has had clients such as actor Bill Murray, Royal Portrush Golfclub, DP Legends tour amongst many more.

Aaron offers a range of classes including:
1.5hr Ball marker and whiskey sour experience for coupes and groups up to 16

full day putter making class, max 2 people

3-4hr japanese kogatana knife making class

full day kitchen/camp knife class

All participants must be 14+ and accompanied until 16. Knife class customers must be 18+ to leave with thier knife or have an adult to take ownership of the knife from the class. Forge participants are required to wear jeans/natural fiber trousers, cotton clothing and leather/tough boots that your jeans will go over. No rings, watches or bracelets to be worn. PPE provided.

Blacksmithing vouchers are available to purchase. You can book via Airbnb experiences or directly via email or telephone.

Road Directions

This is fast main road, care must be taken entering the drive as its in the inside of a curve in the road. Leaving the property must only be done with supervision of someone accross the road. Please do not arrive at the priperty without an appointment as if im not home, leaving can be very dangerous. If you have to, part at the layby just 100yds down the road and take care walking to the property.
