About

Rockmount Golf Course has been cleverly designed to ensure that the land's natural features are incorporated throughout the 18 holes and the undulating course offers a variety at every turn. There are four par three, four par five and the remainder are par four holes, the total distance being 6410yards. Water comes into play in the form of streams with a lake at the 11th and 14th to present the golfer with a the ultimate challenge. The entire complex covers 120acres with panoramic views and excellent greens giving satisfaction to all players. Hospitality is second to none and a friendly welcome awaits all who visit the course.

The Rockmount Clubhouse is tastefully decorated in old brick and solid oak, creating a warm homely atmosphere. From the dining room window there is a panoramic view of the golf course with a backdrop of the famous Mourne Mountains.

The proprietors, Robert Patterson and his wife Diane, are totally involved with the day to day running of the complex, which creates a very personal atmosphere and helps maintain high standard of both on the golf course and in the restaurant. The new refurbished golf shop specialises in both ladies and gent's clothes and accessories.

Rockmount Award Winning Restaurant, which has established itself as a restaurant of excellence, is a popular dining place for lunches, snacks and that special evening meal. Open to the public seven days a week, its wide range of homemade dishes can be selected from the extensive menus, which caters for all tastes. The staff are friendly and knowledgable and are proud to have the award winning bar man of the year 2010. The clubhouse also lends itself to great conference facilities which are second to none.
