British Horse Society approved. Lessans offers tuition, trekking and hacking on quiet country roads. Facilities include indoor school and outdoor ménage. Open all year.

Lessans Riding Stables is a BHS Approved riding school situated in the beautiful countryside of Northern Ireland, three miles from Carryduff, on the Saintfield Road, easily accessible from Belfast and on a main bus route.

This riding school offers a variety of services to riders of all standards on safe, well-schooled ponies and horses and have extensive facilities.

Cafe opens at weekends and holidays.

Lessans have set up a new adult beginner lesson at 15:15 on a Saturday. Check out benefits of horse riding to see why you should give it a try.

If you would like more info please ring or email us, but please be aware that lessons can only be booked over the phone, not by e-mail.

Please be aware that there is a cancellation fee of £5 if you do not give 12 hours notice to cancel for a group lesson.

If you have booked a group of people in please let us know at least 12 hours in advance.

Directions from Town:
From Belfast, head towards the A7(Downpatrick/Ballynahinch). At Carryduff Roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Saintfield Rd/A7 Continue to follow A7. After 3.6 miles turn left onto Lessans lane( look for a large yellow sign on a sweeping bend.) From Saintfield mainstreet: Turn left at traffic lights towards Belfast(A7) Approximately 1 mile out of Saintfield look for a large yellow sign on right hand side. Turn right and follow the lane to the yard.
