About

At WildWalk we offer everyone a chance to connect to the outdoors, learn new skills and have an experience that will last long in the memory whether it be for beginners or those who want to boost their skills further.

We are operate from some amazing locations at

The burn Wood

This incredible mixed species forest interspersed with natural pathways is bordered by the six mile and the four mile water rivers close between the country hamlets of Doagh and Parkgate. The Burn Wood is set in a part of Northern Ireland steeped in history and prehistory. The forests are a mix of spruce, oak, birch, cherry , apple , ash , sycamorte and more. The woodlands support a vast variety of wild life insect and bird life.

We run a majority of our courses from The Burn Wood as it offers easy access to airports and sea ports. Belfast is 30 mins away and the international Airport is only 15-20 min drive. There is secure parking with toilet facilities on site and the local shops are just a 5-10min drive to the town of Doagh.

Glenarm Castle Estate

At the incredible Glenarm castle our campsite is above the castle with the most stunning views of Glenarm and White Bay. Glenarm town is a sleepy seaside village with a long and interesting past. Our woodland camp offers a real get back to nature escape though if camping out isnt your thing then you can book one of the 5 star glampng pods close by and owned by the estate ( we can help with booking them).

The views from the mixed woodland of Ash, hawthorn, larch hazel and more are simply breath taking and you can awaken to the views of the glacial glen to one side as it cuts its way through the Antrim plateau and opens up to the amsing sea shore.

The castle at Glenarm offers stunning walks and the gardens are a site well worth a visit. There is a cafe which offers fresh cooked food daily as well as teas coffees and scones/traybakes.

Glenarm village has some wonderful eateries as well as craft shops like Moon water crystal where yo can purchase hand made gifts from local crafters and a cup of herbal tea.

White Bay causeway coastal route

White bay is a prehistoric site where we run our Ancestral skills course. It is close to the sites of a mesolithisc encampment situated high of the hills. This area was used as a quarry for flint by irelands first inhabitants and knapping floors and artifacts have been found here on Archeological digs.

The camp we use is right on the sea shore and offers some amazing scenery where you can look northwest and follow the coastline with visuals of the other antrm glens coming down to the sea. If you look east you can see Scotlands Mull of kintyre and Ailsa Craig rising up out of the sea.

Along with the multitute of wild plants and sea weeds this area is the place to spot makerel crashing out of the water being persued by dolphins seals and some times even whales!
