Seascope is Northern Ireland’s first Lobster Hatchery and Marine Research Centre. A unique visitor attraction at Kilkeel Harbour opened in 2015 now excelling in popularity.

Staff pride themselves in offering a family fun interactive educational visitor experience. Displaying a wealth of information on lobsters, Seascope aim is to promote conservation for our local marine habitat while also providing much needed education for schools, groups and families in a fun and safe environment.

Visitors to the centre can meet our resident lobsters and other native marine and exotic creatures learning about our Sea's vast biodiversity in our touch tanks and also learn about other exotic animals to allow children to engage hands on learning experience to inspire a new generation of conservationists.
