About

Set in the quaint Dickensian Craft Village in the heart of the walled city, Number19 Craft and Design showcases an eclectic mix of the best handmade Craft and design from the North West

Originally opened as a pop up shop during the Clipper Festival in Derry in 2012, they subsequently formed the Craft Village Collective which opened in August 2012, which has now grown to 20 members.
The aim of the Collective was simple, to provide an umbrella retail outlet for small individual craft businesses.

Workshops are offered in Number 19 and in the Craft Village's Thatch Cottage which aim to extend the knowledge and use of traditional craft skills in contemporary craft practice.
They offer mentoring to young designers, providing a retail space to test the market and showcase their work. Number 19 is committed to being a craft and design hub with an active interest in the cultural life in the heart of the city. Everything you see in Number 19 has been designed and made locally and every penny you spend goes directly to the makers.
