About

The sun glints off the crystal-clear, blue water. The white sand of Benone Beach is soft and smooth between your toes. A line of perfect waves lies at your mercy on the horizon. A gentle breeze dances around you and your mates. You look at one another, smile and nod. It’s time... You grab your board, take a deep breath and dive in, to pure, epic adventure…

Ok, so maybe we’ve gone a little OTT here, but the fact is you never forget your first wave. And surfing on Benone Beach is an unforgettable experience, whether you’re a surf beginner or an extra from the movie Point Break.

Naturally, your guides are all fully trained surf coaches with WSA (Water Skills Academy) and Beach Lifeguard qualifications. The coaches have many years experience coaching and competing on the Irish tour, with the Head Coach being a previous Irish Junior Longboard Champion.

We provide the wetsuits, the surf boards and the lessons. You provide the giant spirit and sense of epic adventure. Hot showers afterwards are optional and a delicious way to round off a unique experience truly at one with nature.

So whether you are a complete beginner or an advanced surfer looking to improve your cutback, check out the website for more details on different packages, including video analysis and personal Go-Pro photography.

We’re open all year round. Lessons last 2.5 hours. Memories last a lifetime.

Surf’s Up.
