About

This is a spectacular circular cycling route beneath the High Mournes, with beautiful views across the countryside of patchwork fields and stone walls to the Irish Sea.

The Mourne Coastal plain lies at the foot of the majestic Slieve Binnian and provides a unique insight into the natural, built and social heritage of Mourne, including not least, the Silent Valley Mountain Park and the Water Story.

Stop off for lunch at the quaint Carrick Cottage Café and enjoy a unique setting, open fires, stunning views and excellent food… we strongly recommend the homemade Lemon Meringue Pie!

Allow yourself enough time to explore as this tour provides many tempting options and likewise, don’t be afraid to slow down and stop, a conversation along the way is almost inevitable.
