Navigate through the luscious green fields of the Faughan Valley towards the foothills of the Sperrins the way nature intended.

Start your adventure by checking into the elegant Georgian Beech Hill House Hotel. Once you are settled into your room you will have the opportunity to head out and explore the 6km of trails on foot or by bike before visiting the walled garden which supplies home grown seasonal produce to the hotels kitchen, meet the gardener and pick up some tips on growing the best fresh fruits and vegetables. Return to the hotel for a delicious 3 course dinner in Ardmore Restaurant.

After a peaceful night’s sleep enjoy a full Irish Breakfast before heading outside where your horse-powered transport will be waiting for you in the grounds of the hotel. From the moment you ride past the charming gatehouse along country paths passing by ponds and woodland, you will be captivated by the spectacular and secluded setting of this magnificent 18th century country house. The Georgian elegance of the Beech Hill is reflected in the magnificent gardens and creates an idyllic backdrop for a leisurely hack. Your local guide will keep you entertained with stories about the landscape and local characters. With deer and other wildlife roaming the forest, you might even catch a glimpse of something extra special. The Hotel will provide you with a delicious packed lunch to enjoy mid-way through your adventure. For those who have never ridden before, there is the option to have guides walk beside you or you can choose to stay on food and walk beside the horses.

After a few hours in the saddle, why not return to the hotel and enjoy spending the rest of the afternoon learning about Beech Hills connection with World War II with a visit to the hotels museum? If you don’t want your experience to end there is the option to extend your stay with an additional night at the hotel during which you can enjoy an evening exploring and dining in the Walled City or return to the Ardmore Restaurant and soak in the relaxing atmosphere; the choice is yours.
