Armagh Planetarium, County Armagh

If you're after a weekend in Mid-Ulster with the family we've got ideas on things to do, where to eat and where to stay.

Things to do

Get the adrenaline rushing at Todd's Leap!  Try your hand at zorbing, zip line or the mother of all swings - get harnessed into the giant swing and enjoy the sky high thrill.

Fun and learning are both on offer at The Argory.  Find out more about the history behind the house and the family inside the great house, or enjoy a walk on a woodland or riverside walk or simply enjoy the adventure playground and environmental sculpture trail.

Head to the Armagh Planetarium for a unique and out of this world experience.  Star gaze in the Digital Dome Theatre, or explore the exhibitions - you can even touch the largest meteorite on display in Ireland, which is a mere 4.6 billion years old.

Get out into the fresh air and explore Davagh Forest Park by bike.

Be at one with nature and leave the tech behind at Oxford Island.  Situated on the stunning Lough Neagh shores, this open space is perfect for finding out more about the open water, forests and wildflower meadows.

Places to eat

The Lockkeepers Cottage - a tearoom situated along the Toome Canal.  An idyllic spot, this gem offers homemade goodies including savoury and sweet scones, soup and sandwiches and sweet treats.
