About

Whether you are looking for a family day out, an evening out with friends or planning a school outing, there is a range of fun packed activities for young and older visitors at Dundonald International Ice Bowl.

Ice Skating - Grab a pair of skates and make some moves on Northern Ireland’s only public Olympic sized rink. Public skating sessions are available seven days per week with wicked DJ sessions and a state of the art lighting system operating throughout the weekend and selected holidays.
For those younger skaters, the Ice Bowl has a number of fun Penguin and Snowman skating aids to help them get around the ice. (Height restrictions apply) Would you like to skate like some of the best in the world? Sign up for ice skating lessons with some of our fabulous coaches and soon you’ll be able to know the difference between and land a Salchow, Lutz and Axel jump.

Fun Fact: Olympic Gold winners, Jane Torvill and Christopher Dean who performed the record breaking Bolero at the Sarajevo 1984 Winter Olympics have skated on this very rink.

Tenpin Bowling - Spare! Strike! If you’re looking for a fun interactive activity with family and friends, then look no further than Dundonald’s spectacular state of the art 30 lane bowling centre. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never bowled before (or not very good), we’ve got bumper lanes and ball ramps to help you in your quest to become ‘King of the Lanes’.

Are you brave enough to play in the dark? Enjoy all the fun of regular tenpin bowling with glow balls, pins and ultra violet lanes at one of our Xtreme Bowling Sessions at the weekend and selected holidays. With DJ entertainment, prize competitions, disco lighting and smoke effects, this is an out of this world experience you don’t want to miss.

Indiana Land - Whether you’ve got a Dora the Explorer or a young Indiana Jones at home, adventure awaits them at Indiana Land. Your little ones can scamper through hidden tunnels, swing over daring rope bridges and free fall down our giant vertical slide on their jungle quest. There is also a toddler’s area available for your youngest explorers to play in, with adults being able to supervise from our seated area. Not forgetting the older kids (12-14 years), Indiana Land offers ‘Big Kid’ sessions each night after 20:00 for shared or exclusive use. (Minimum of fifteen people required and must be pre-booked)

As of April 2018, Indiana Land has been awarded an Autism NI Impact Award by showing their ongoing commitment to individuals on the spectrum. With coloured footprints along with matching coloured doors and a new sensory room,
Indiana Land has everything for a calming, relaxing experience for those on the spectrum. Autism Friendly Sessions run on the last Friday of each month from 20:00 - 21:00.

*Please note pre booking is recommended for all activities.

Take a break between activities and chill out in the Alaska Sports Diner with meal deals, snacks, birthday packages to suit your specific needs.
Speaking of parties, did you know Dundondald Ice Bowl can host children’s parties and teen parties complete with one or more activities and delicious food? For more information on our party packages, get in touch today.
