About

Donaldson Lake was opened in 1995 as Trout Fishery. This four acre lake is situated on Church Road in Holywood within 10 minutes drive of Belfast, Newtownards and Bangor.

Groups, clubs or individuals can enjoy fly-fishing and worm fishing for trout (rainbow, steelheads, blues and cheetah 10lbs plus).

There is a small pond (Duck pond)for the little angler or learner (birthday parties, family days, etc.) on this privately-owned fishery.

Tuition is available, we welcome corperate events, cross community groups, youth groups, scouts, B.B. etc. equipment hire provided. Tackle, refreshments, Tea and coffee are also available. BBQ’s on request. A Camping area is also available (must be booked in advance).
