Groomsport village is a delightful spot, with quaint village shops, cafes and popular eateries.

The seafront area has picnic benches for those who wish to do that, with a view of the pretty harbour and Cockle Row Cottages.

Set within the picturesque Groomsport Harbour, Cockle Row Cottages are the perfect place to spend an afternoon. Step back in time and discover how a fisherman and his family lived at the turn of the last century in these lovingly restored cottages.

The cottages host an exciting entertainment programme every weekend from Easter Sunday to early September. Children will have the opportunity to join in on a range of activities including face painting, children’s crafts, balloon modelling and much more every weekend from 12pm to 4pm, whilst adults can enjoy live music, heritage and craft fairs.

The cottages also stock a range of visitor and heritage information as well as a small gift shop. Bird enthusiasts can enjoy live video feeds from Cockle Island giving visitors an interactive bird watching experience.

Due to COVID, please check with Bangor Visitor Information Centre before planning your visit to ensure the cottages are open, 028 9127 0069. Opening has been limited.
