Carmel’s offers exclusive chocolatiering experiences, in the heart of the coastal village of Whitehead on the beautiful Causeway Coastal Route.

So what exactly is chocolatiering? Well it’s an opportunity to make confectionery from chocolate so we hope you have a sweet tooth! Courses are carried out by Stephen, a passionate and qualified cook, with 20 years experience, who loves getting creative with chocolate and confectionery. Workshops are suitable for small groups and public courses are also regularly arranged and advertised on Facebook.

During these special workshops you'll have the opportunity to hand make and often decorate your own chocolate treats, in a friendly and relaxed environment. Everybody leaves the workshop with their own chocolate creations! Each workshop lasts approx. 2 to 2.5 hours including light refreshments. Their workshops are suitable for all age groups but very young children will need a helping hand from an adult.

They also offer children's pizza making parties and sweet making parties. Party packages include a 1 hour pizza or sweet making class plus 1 hour in their fully decorated party room. With ice cream, candyfloss floss and slushy and party games plus a take home sweet cone.

Carmel’s is also a traditional convenience store with a large selection of ‘sweetie jars’. If you want to go old school just ask for a ¼ and you’ll see them weigh out your favourite sweets! They regularly sell out of their handmade peanut butter brittle and have a new handmade, heavenly bodies chocolate range.
