Departing from the Carlingford Lough Ferry Terminal at Greencastle, Co. Down, Carlingford Lough Cruises offer a range of scenic cruises that explore this stunning lough. These cruises provide a rare opportunity to enjoy 360-degree panoramic views of Carlingford Lough and the iconic Haulbowline Lighthouse, guarding the entrance to the Carlingford Lough.

Our cruises showcase the beauty of both the inner and outer Lough area. Our Sunset cruises and Meet the Maker cruises explore the the inner Lough area offering breath taking views of the majestic Mourne Mountains and the dramatic Cooley Peninsula with historic sites that include Carlingford Castle, Greencastle Royal Castle & Rostrevor Bay.

Our unique Lough & Lighthouse Cruise explores the outer area of the Lough, cruising towards the mouth of Carlingford Lough and out to the iconic Haulbowline Lighthouse. The mouth of Carlingford Lough features an array of reefs and small rocky islands, among them Green Island. This island is home to Haulbowline Lighthouse and a favoured haul out spot for the Loughs Grey Seal population. Enjoy a close-up view of this sight as we cruise to within 400 meters of this site. *Cruising to the Lighthouse is weather permitting and may be affected by high winds.

All cruises include a fascinating audio that offers insights into the myths and legends of Carlingford Lough. Whispered stories and folklore of times of giants and Celtic warriors and princesses, insights into the formation of this majestic Lough as a glacial fjord, and the abundance of wildlife and birdlife that make their home on one of the most ecologically important Loughs on the island.
