  1. Seamus Heaney HomePlace, Word Hoard
    While much of Seamus Heaney’s writing is inspired by words and ways of life specific to this area, his human relationships and household objects, which we bring to the fore in our exhibition, are familiar to many.
    1. Derry~Londonderry is the only remaining completely walled city in Ireland and is one of the finest examples of Walled Cities in Europe. A walk around the walls reveals a city crammed full of history, heritage, interest and a vibrant cultural scene.
      1. Bakehouse NI is a small cookery school set in the countryside near the village of Bellaghy. It provides “at home” cookery experiences based around traditional Irish cookery using local ingredients.
        1. From 28 - 31 October, Europe's Biggest Halloween Festival returns as The Walled City comes alive with ancient spirits welcoming you to join the Awakening!

          The Walled City Brewery craft uniquely local, premium quality, fabulously flavoursome food and beer in their multi-award winning brewhouse and restaurant. If you truly want a flavour of the North-West it is a must-visit.

              If you haven’t seen Derry Girls, you’re in for a treat. The Lisa McGee-penned comedy following the hilarious exploits of a group of teenagers, their families and friends - oh, and their school principal, Sister Michael - in the early 1990s is a joy to behold.
