With our dramatic coastlines and rugged landscapes, it is no surprise that we are home to some breathtaking waterfalls. Found in secluded woodlands, on coastal drives or even at luxury hotels, below you'll find a selection of stunning waterfall walks in Northern Ireland.
Glenariff Waterfall in County Antrim
A short stroll from the charming village of Glenoe, on a woodland walk that meanders up and down the sides of the valley and glen, you'll find Glenoe Waterfall, one of the most picturesque waterfalls in Northern Ireland.
Ness Country Park
In the steep, wooded glen of the Burntollet River in Derry~Londonderry, you'll find Ness Country Park - a 55 hectare woodland offering visitors wildlife ponds, wildflower meadow, riverside walks as well as Northern Ireland's highest waterfall.
The picturesque Crumlin Glen, home to a mixed woodland filled with a variety of trees, plants and birds and not to mention one of our most stunning waterfalls. With a picnic area located at the start of the walk and the chance to see some otters - it is an ideal spot for the whole family to explore.
Waterfall Walkway, Glenariff
Glenariff is one of the nine Glens of Antrim and is considered by many to be the fairest of them all. The 3 mile Waterfall Walkway at Glenariff Forest Park is a picturesque woodland walk with rich backdrops for photographers. Bringing a camera is a must!
Tollymore Forest Park
Covering an area of almost 630 hectares, Tollymore Forest Park is found at the foot of the Mourne Mountains and is home to the River Shimna that flows directly through the middle of the park.
Nestled in Belmore Forest, within the Marble Arch Caves Global Geopark, you'll find Pollnagollum Cave. The cave is fed by a waterfall and swells to a torrent during heavy rainfall.
