Whether its mid term break time, summer holidays, or just a regular weekend we’re sure you’re little ones are always itching to get out and about! But stress not – for we’ve got lots & lots of cool ways to fill your days with fun, excitement & adventure. Here’s a selection of some of our best loved family attractions.

The Ulster Museum, Belfast

Giant's Causeway Visitor Centre

Enjoy a day out at the Giant's Causeway Visitor Centre.

This fantastic centre fits seamlessly into the surrounding landscape and is filled with family fun, ancient history & lots of interactive information on the area’s abundant myths, rich history and unique geology.

With walking trails and picnic areas you'll be able to discover the Giant's Causeway at your own pace.

Armagh Planetarium

See the stars at Armagh Planetarium.

Visitors can use interactive displays to learn about the cosmos and watch the latest space news in real time. Highlights include a full-colour 3D experience projected on to the dome of the planetarium.

Travel to the International Space Station, outwards to Mars in our 3D stereo room and the new immersive gallery can project stereoscopic animations of Solar System exploration. During your visit why not design, build and launch your own rocket!

Titanic Belfast

If you haven't been already – a trip to Titanic Belfast is a must for all the family!

The Titanic Experience takes visitors on a journey through no fewer than 9 galleries from the late 19th century, right up to the present day. Visit late 1800’s Belfast, meet the men who worked on Titanic and experience what life on board was truly like from the joy of boarding to the devastation at saying goodbye to loved ones.

The visitor experience will take you to the depths of the Atlantic Ocean – the final resting place for what was in 1912 – the largest moving object ever created by man.

Ulster American Folk Park

Step back in time at the Ulster American Folk Park.

Immerse yourself in the world famous story of Irish emigration at the museum that brings it to life. Follow the emigrant trail as you journey from the thatched cottages of Ulster, on board a full scale emigrant sailing ship leading to the log cabins of the American Frontier.

Meet an array of costumed characters on your way with traditional crafts to show, tales to tell and food to share.

Aunt Sandra's Candy Factory

How about a sweet treat at Aunt Sandra's Candy Factory.

A visit to the shop is like taking a trip back in time where visitors can look in on the whole production process and see how hand made chocolates and hand made fudge are made, most of which can be sampled as it's produced.

A viewing window into the small quaint factory allows visitors to enjoy tastes and smells of old-time candy-making at its best.

Exploris Aquarium

Enjoy the wonders of Exploris, Northern Ireland's public Aquarium and seal sanctuary.

Discovery pool demonstrations, run by experienced guides, at regular intervals throughout each day give you the opportunity to interact with a variety of living marine animals. The Aquarium presents the wonders of the Irish Sea through an enjoyable and interactive experience.

Lough Neagh Discovery Centre

An ideal spot for families, as it is home to a vast range of birds, plants & animals.

Visitors can explore a diverse range of habitats, enjoy walks around the shores of Lough Neagh, stop off at the bird watching hides – where you are welcomed with stunning views over the Lake, where the kids can enjoy the play areas & paddling pool.

Take a trip into the Lough Neagh Discovery Centre which has a wonderful craft & gift shop, you can also find plenty of information on the area and its wildlife.

Belfast Zoo

Enjoy a trip to the zoo which is home to over 1,000 animals & 150 species.

Belfast Zoo is a perfect family day out & one of our best loved attractions. Zoo highlights include the giraffe & elephant enclosure, Rain forest house & bird park. The zoo also offers picnic & play areas, gardens & souvenir shop.

Enniskillen Castle

Delve into the history of Enniskillen Castle in the heart of the Fermanagh Lakelands.

The historic castle hosts many family fun living history days throughout the year – which are perfect for any family day out. Enjoy a walk along the shores of the Lough Erne which surround the castle, where you'll find plenty of green grass to enjoy a family picnic.

Riverwatch Centre

Riverwatch Aquarium and Visitor Centre is a great tourist attraction located just outside Derry-Londonderry city centre.

With Free Admission it's a must do for families and visitors.

Watch the fish swim about the tanks and learn about our local wildlife. We have lobster, crabs, starfish. coalfish, blenney's and lots of other marine and freshwater fish and shellfish.
