Glebe House is located just 3.5 miles from Strangford Village and Portaferry. 4 miles from Castleward National Trust Estate and Game of Thrones® filming locations. 5 miles from Ardglass fishing port and Golf club, and 8 miles from Downpartick, which hosts the St. Patrick’s Centre, Down Museum, Down Cathedral and St. Patrick’s grave, Glebe House is the perfect location for those seeking a memorable experience.

Accommodation is provided in “The Rookery” which is an up to date purpose build Hostel set it the relaxing grounds for the Glebe House Centre. The Rookery provides all the needs for those seeking good, clean, sound and comfortable budget accommodation at a fair price.

The Rookery is equipped with kitchen, toilets & showering facilities, dining and a TV lounge area. There are 5 bedrooms with 1 bunk plus 1 single bed each and 1 room with 2 single beds, sleeping 17 in total. All rooms are ground floor and the building and rooms are wheelchair accessible.
The Rookery has Free WiFi and we provide bed linen and towels plus “all day” Tea and Coffee making facilities at no extra cost. Visitors have access to all of the gardens and grounds at Glebe House with lots of seating and picnic areas.

Glebe House is owned and run by Harmony Community Trust a registered Northern Ireland charity and is a unique centre open all year round providing community relations activities for children and adults in a relaxing rural setting. The funds raised from the visitors staying at Glebe House are used to help fund the charities on going community relations work.

Glebe House has been in existence for over 40 years and has a wealth of experience in providing our visitors with a truly memorable experience.

We welcome single, double, and multiple visitors. We also have “Donkeys” eager to meet new friends.
