About

Over 250 years old, Tornaroan Cottage is a detached traditional Irish cottage in the countryside renovated to a high standard but retaining a cosy old world charm and boasting spectacular views over the fields to the sea and Rathlin Island.

Surprisingly secluded on the beautiful Causeway Coast yet close to Ballycastle and far from any hustle and bustle there is easy access to tourist sites, cities and airports. It is family friendly and perfect for a romantic break, family holiday, sightseeing, golfing or activity holiday and offers plenty of room for 4 people (and 1 infant up to 2 yrs old). Guests have the entire cottage to themselves and there is easy accessibilty with all the rooms located on the ground floor except for 2 steps down into the main bedroom.

Acommodation: A large lounge with a feature fireplace and a wood burning stove, large, comfy sofa and chairs and a smart TV with Apps, DVD player and free high-speed internet. The spacious well equipped kitchen has a breakfast table, chairs, a dishwasher, washing machine, Stanley range and a separate electric cooker. There is a separate sitting / dining area  along the corridor with patio doors opening directly onto the garden.

The 2 bedrooms have a king sized bed and two full sized single beds ( twin beds made up on request). 100% cotton sheets, duvets or woollen blankets and quality towels. Travel cot, baby bath and high chair provided free on request.  2 full bathrooms both with electric showers, one is a wet room and accessible for those with restricted mobility.

Outdoors: A large, safely enclosed garden has plenty of seating and a picnic table with spectacular sea views over to Rathlin Island and Fairhead. Parking for 2 cars inside the main gate in front of the cottage and separate dedicated parking area for 1 car behind the cottage. Strictly no smoking and no pets.

Included in the price: Locally handmade gift soaps. Generous welcome pack with breakfast items and a special treat. Kitchen essentials (salt, pepper, tea, coffee, sugar, oil, kitchen roll, cling film and tin foil, dishwasher tablets, bin bags). Bathroom toiletries (shampoo, shower gel, soap). Plenty of quality towels. Beach towels and tea towels, toilet paper, basket of logs, box of peat, kindling, firelighters, matches. Cot & Highchair.

No pets. No smoking. Close to Ballycastle and many tourist sites, under an hour from Belfast International airport, 1 hour 20 from Belfast City Airport and under 3 hours from Dublin Airport.
