General information

The Danger Tree
Danger Tree Exhibition at Titanic Belfast 002

The Danger Tree, a ground-breaking visual arts exhibition marking 100 years since the end of WWI, opens at Titanic Belfast on August 2nd.

Comprising a collection of original paintings and limited-edition prints, the free exhibition uses augmented reality (AR) software to bring each piece alive through poetry, animation and music. Visitors to the month-long exhibition will be invited to watch as the paintings are transformed into an immersive 3D experience, using hand-held devices and earphones, with each telling the compelling story of a different soldier who fought and fell in the Great War from 1914 to 1918.

Created by award-winning artists Scarlett Raven and Marc Marot, The Danger Tree is a first for Ireland and follows critically-acclaimed showcases in London, Manchester and Liverpool. The world class exhibition will be hosted in Titanic Belfast’s stunning Andrews Gallery and has been brought to life by award-winning film set designer Kave Quinn, providing visitors with a unique experience designed to engage and enthral.
