General information

Rostrevor Forest

This beautiful area has superb views and good walking routes over Carlingford Lough. Rostrevor Forest is also known as one of the highest ranking woodlands in the East of Northern Ireland and is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

A casual visit between April and September is a good time to discover some of the woodland birds and other wildlife. During this time visitors may be able to hear the lovely sounds of birdsong from birdcaps, willow warblers and chiffchaffs.
